🦔 🦔 The Eco Team from years 5 and 4 were out today working on Project Hedgehog.
After making sure the garden has access holes to allow hedgehogs to come and go, using an old plastic storage container the team have built a cat proof feeding station for any local hedgehogs. We have located a wildlife camera in front of it to catch any overnight visitors. 📷 📷 The team also learnt today about the importance of providing fresh water and cat food for local hedgehogs at this time of year to fatten them up for their upcoming hibernations. They also added an extra, rainproof ground floor layer to the bug hotel which they filled with dry hay and leaves to provide a resting place for any 🦔 who drop by. Who knows, they may stay for winter!
