Well looky looky 👀. Thanks to some very attentive watering over the past two weeks, the Year 2 sweat peas have largely all germinated and will be ready for pinching out and putting outside in a cold frame next week. Well done to Belle and the rest of the class for the great work!
This week members of the Eco Team from years 3-5 came together for a gardening session all about bumblebees.
They repotted and trimmed some old thyme which we have been gifted for our Market Cart (please don't forget to let us have any old pots of herbs which need some TLC!), divided and planted some Michaelmas (aster) daisies for important late season nectar for the bees (being one of the few garden plants to continue flowering into September and October), got some potatoes chitting and some sweet peas planted. As always a wonderfully enthusiastic group of gardeners to have helping out! |
